This recognition means the world to me—not just personally, but for the mission I’ve committed my life to: making AI education accessible, ethical, and empowering for all—especially for those often left out of the innovation economy.

This year’s selection process was incredibly competitive, with over 1,200 applicants across North America. Of these, 75 were named finalists, and just 15 women were honored as Champions.

One of the judges kindly shared:

“I judged your category. Your application was very strong.”

That validation affirmed the deep, mission-driven work we’ve been doing at STEAM in AI and DataEthics4All Foundation.

Building the Next Generation of AI Talent

At DataEthics4All Foundation, through our flagship STEAM in AI Initiative, we’re focused on giving students the skills they need to succeed in a changing world.

In partnership with the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, we’ve launched an on-demand AI Ethics and Career Readiness curriculum for middle and high school students—especially those in communities where access to emerging technology education is limited.

These students are learning:

• What AI is and how it powers modern industries

• How to use it responsibly and safely

• And how to apply these skills to future careers in technology, business, defense, agriculture, and manufacturing

Many students who started with limited exposure to technology are now completing hands-on AI projects, building confidence, and setting goals for trade schools, college, or careers in high-demand fields.

A Recognition Beyond an Award

To me, this award is not just about personal recognition. It’s a spotlight on the urgent need for ethics-first innovation in AI, and a celebration of those who are working tirelessly to ensure no community is left behind in the AI revolution.

At DataEthics4All Foundation and through our STEAM in AI Initiative, we’ve been laser-focused on building the next generation of AI leaders—starting early. Our mentor-led, hands-on programs are designed for middle and high school students, helping them gain future-ready AI skills with a strong foundation in data ethics.

We’ve seen firsthand how access to AI education can transform a student’s confidence, purpose, and path forward. Some of our students have gone on to start AI-based community projects, publish original research, and even influence local education policy. These young minds are not just learning to use AI tools—they are learning to build them responsibly.

Why This Work Matters

AI is moving fast. Faster than most education systems can keep up. If we don’t act now to bridge the AI literacy gap, we risk not getting our next generation ready for the AI Workforce of the future.

Being recognized as a Women in AI Champion gives us a louder voice in this critical conversation. It opens new doors for advocacy, partnerships, and investment in ethical AI education—and for that, I am truly grateful.

We’re expanding our work to reach more students across the country, developing AI curriculum that is aligned with industry demands and values-driven design, and building a pipeline of diverse, thoughtful talent ready to lead in the AI workforce of tomorrow.
